Guan Yu chases Meng Tan. Han Fu shoots Guan Yu with an arrow from his hiding place, but does not hit him. Guan Yu then beheads them both with his sword. Guan Yu arrives at the third pass, where Commander Bian Xi welcomes him and allows him to pass. Bian Xi invites Guan Yu to go to Zhenguo Temple to drink wine with him. However, secretly he plans to lay an ambush to kill Guan Yu.
