The master and his disciples enter the city and put up at the Male-welcoming Post Station for the night. The superintendent of Male-welcoming Post Station goes to the palace to report the good news. It is the first time in history that any man has come to the inn. The queen tells her tutor to be matchmaker, while she herself is willing to become queen consort in the harem, and offer all the wealth of the country to the Tang Priest. The royal tutor tries to persuade the Tang Priest over and over. In the beginning he politely declines the offer, but after a while his refusal becomes sterner, driving the royal tutor very mad.
師徒進城投迎陽館驛。驛丞到王宮報喜——有史以來驛中首次迎到陽人。女王囑太師來作伐，自願到內宮爲王后，將一國之富禪位於唐僧。太師一再勸說，唐僧從婉拒到嚴拒，怒了當朝太師。
